I’m a Klutz and My Middle Name is Grace

10 Feb

klutz_logo

My blog title is entirely true.Who knew I could survive skydiving almost 1000 jumps without killing myself? Nonetheless.

This is my first blog quote challenge and have never done one before, as I am challenged enough just to get at least one original recipe with photos once a week. But I made an exception this time because: 1. I do enjoy the blogs I follow that challenged me and 2. I got laid up last night after injuring my foot in a stupid tripping accident so had time to peruse the interwebz for quotes instead of cooking. I made hubby cook dinner last night while I yelled instructions to him across the room with my foot up on ice. NO, that doesn’t make these challenges any less than what they are, they are a wonderful way of linking up with new people. They are just a way to “share the love” so to speak.

Thank you Jean from White House Red Door and Natascha from Natascha’s Palace for the nominations! Please do check out their recipes if you have the chance.

I’m breaking the chain somewhat as I’m not doing three days in a row and instead posting them all at once, nor nominating anyone else (I’m a rebel that way), but I am linking to these lovely blogs, though. Enjoy! ❤

This last one really hit home with me, because really? I cannot imagine. Onions rule!

Thank you Stefan, my husband rolls his eyes every time I do something like this. I’m glad to be in good Klutz company! 😀

Nobody believes how often I drop things, burn, or cut myself while cooking when they taste the result, but it is true nonetheless. My husband rolls his eyes too and says it’s because I lack patience. I know I’m still a klutz when I do things more slowly.

I totally get that Stefan! Even when I have patience I tend to be that way too. I just can’t get around it.

KR I can not laugh about your TOE because I know how painful that can be. I am not specifically in your “KLUTZ” club however, I have stubbed my big toe enough to know what that feels like- a big OUCH! Heel soon-and keep yelling cooking instructions to the HUBS (that may just be the best to come from this??? LOL…XOXOXO CCC

Kathryn, really sorry to hear about your foot, keep it up, with loads of ice and heal soon 🙂 , and in the meanwhile enjoy hubby cooking for you 🙂 I love the quotes.
(Gosh, I can’t imagine what I would be eating if that happened to me…my hubby will wash dishes, sort of, and that is pretty much it hahahaha)

I am in the klutz club too. I hope that your foot is getting better. Once it does, would you consider posting all the tips on getting the hubby to cook, my other half would have difficulties spelling onion. Feel better soon!

So much good info here! Skydiving? How brave! I agree with all of your quotes (well #2 is justification by someone who really knows) but so true about meals being good! And I too am an onion lover! Cute post KR!

LOVE these quotes!!! “…be fearless and above all, have fun!” is on my About page! The onion quote is so funny, I completely agree; all you have to do is start sautéing some onions and people are drawn to the kitchen, wondering what incredibly delicious items are in store. Forget the smell of baking cookies- it’s all about the sautéing onions! So sorry to hear about your foot- but at least you got a night off?! xo

Skydiving Kathryn, I’m impressed big time! I’m a big fan of Julia Child, she is the one that got me cooking a long time ago and I met her in person. She was quite the lady.
    Have a speedy recovery

Oh gosh, Kathryn! I’m so sorry you were injured. I have lots and lots… and LOTS of stairs, and I’ve had some bad falls. Take care of that footsie! I enjoyed the quotes. Take good care of you. Mega hugs. ❤ 🙂

OY, lots of stairs?? I barely survived in a 2-story house for 15 years. Thank the stars we are in a single story now, lol! Mega hugs back, Teagan!

I hope you are at least some better now. But don’t let up on the ice & keep it propped up. Those 2 things make a huge difference. 🙂

Well you know I’m a klutz after my broken foot last year. Ice and up, that’s the way to go. I like the first quote as simple food can be some of the best.

Sorry to hear of your mishap. As much as I may love Julia, I feel the same way she does — but about garlic. I know garlic. Garlic is a friend of mine. Sorry, Julia, but onions are not garlic. 😀
