I AM NOT SPAM

i-am-not-spamI am not spam. Really. Spam filter Akismet has taken it upon itself to mark all my comments on your lovely WordPress blogs as spam, as some algorithm in their – while intelligent and useful – spam filter has a flaw obviously. I do not send out mass-produced comments telling you that I can increase your SEO ratings or that I have secured a large sum of money that is yours for the taking if you just wire me a sum of money immediately. No. I have read your recent posts and merely want to leave you an individual comment on it.

That being said, I have emailed them asking to not block my comments (I had to sum up 14+7 to prove I was not a robot) and asked them to fix it. In the meantime, could you please mark my comments as “not spam” so that you can see my comments? Hopefully this gets cleared up quickly. Thank you!

    I have to check spam because that stupid spam filter is spamming people who I know and trust and it’s making me upset. Sometimes I think the updates make things worse. If it’s not broke don’t fix it worked fine before it was updated. Have to go see if you are spammed.😡

    I sure did mark them “not spam!” I found a couple in there after checking. You are NOT spam! 😦

      Some bloggers are reporting that they are finding my comments in their spam folders. In fact, I just checked your blog, and I don’t see my comment to you from this morning, are you sure?

      LOL! And thank you! My mom used to fry Spam for sandwiches when I was a kid. Bologna too. I don’t think I’ve eaten either since college. Perhaps a sniggle or two of bologna when my daughter was young, but not Spam for sure. I recall liking it OK but not something I would purposely buy.

    I check my spam frequently as occasionally someone I know and trust is put there. I just had the same problem and I sent a note to WP. Then within a few days the problem seemed to be gone and I thanked WP for whatever they did!!!

        One of the engineers asked for links to sites and I sent him about 6. The next thing I knew my comments were being posted so I am not sure what he did?

    I just received an email asking me to rate my Akismet support experience from Stef. Apparently, Keven (WP) sent my email to them and they took care of it, not him. I wondered why I did not hear back but everything was fixed so I just let it go.
